L

Yes! I am a NEW DRIVER! Two weeks ago I passed my driving exam: I was really nervous. It was the second time I try it and I felt less sure than in the previous one.

I left from Santiago el Mayor and at the begininng of the exam I had to open the bonnet... That was a show. I have never opened one and I was trying to open it  giving all of me, but, no way, that was closed. In that moment I felt that everything was lost but the examiner had compassion and helped me with it. (Okay, no problem, I can do it- I thought) I got on the car and we went until a street without exit: I thought again that everything was lost (a non-exit street!) Nonetheless, I gave all of me: I was determined, I wanted to pass and... I left from the street! The rest of the exam was normal.

This past weekend I gave a walk in the car with my friends and with my parents. Having a car makes me feel more independient and free. Although I was very nervous, I could do it and I learnt that with effort and sacrifice we can achieve lots of things!

Traditional books or eBooks?

Oh my God, how difficult is to decide between a traditional book and an eBook! I enjoy reading, and I don't know what is the best option: a book with its smell and paper pages or an eBook with its enormous capacity and comfortability.

On the one hand, books are marvellous. Simply going into a library and smelling them is an incomparable sensation. Going to the beach with your favourite book in paper for me is something awesome. Besides, if it gets dirty that is not a problem, you can clean it; nonetheless, if your eBook gets dirty because of sand or water maybe you won't be able to clean it.

On the other hand, eBooks are so comfortable. Only in one gadget you can have thousands of books. You can choose the one you want to read and, clicking a button, you have all the books you want. That is not possible with a normal book. However, is not the same an. electronic gadget than a traditional book.

In a nutshell, both have positive and negative aspects. Even though it is a difficult decission, I will always be loyal to paper books, touching and smelling a book is not the same than holding an electronic gadget.

Firenze.

Firenze is a must. If you enjoy travelling and sharing unforgettable moments with the people you love, you have to visit this city. The smell of pizza, ice creams and the hustle and bustle of the city….

I’ve been to Firenze twice, with the school and with my family. The more I go, the more in love I am with this city. The fantastic monuments which decorate the whole city create a special atmosphere that catches your attention since the first moment you are there. Besides, their narrow streets make me feel like in a story, remembering the books I’ve read about mask parties.

One of the best monuments there is “Ponte Vecchio”, a not very big bridge which was the centre of the city hundred of centuries ago. At present, it has many jewelry shops all across the bridge. That is one of the richest parts of Firenze. In the past there were butchers and grocery stores in the whole bridge.

Firenze is a place to visit. In fact, Italy is a perfect destiny if you love pasta, ice creams and the simple beauty of an historical country.

Practice 4 (correction)

Nowadays, high schools and universities have more students in their classes, what makes an awful effect in pupil's education. Because of the economical crisis, classes are more and more full of people, affecting both teachers and students. Overcrowded classes make a bad impact on the knowledge acquired by students as they receive less attention than in a normal situation.

Firstly, this situation is not caused by students so it is unfair that they have to suffer it. More people come to class, there is more noise caused by this amount of people and, as a consequence, students lose their concentration. Furthermore, it also affects teachers, as they have to deal with lots of pupils and that is a double effort for them. Moreover, students receive less attention from their teachers, They might feel frightened of asking a question or maybe there is no time to ask due to the huge amounts of doubts the teacher has to answer. Those things affect student's learning, making it harder. For this reason, they have to hire particular teachers, what involves more expenses and money.

To sum up, as the economical situation is critical, students have to suffer the consequences. There are more pupils in the classes, what makes the learning difficult. Affecting not only the students but also the teachers, they have to deal with lots of situations that are not good for either of them.

Technlogy in our daily life. Advantages and disadvantages.

Undoubtedly, technology is necessary in our daily life. Smartphone, tablets, iPads... all these electronic gadgets have been a key breakthrough in our society. All are supposed to be created to ease our life; nonetheless, everything has a dark side and also technology.

The main advantage of the new technology is how quickly and easily we can find any information. It doesn’t matter the issue you are interested in, only clicking a button and writing something in Google you’ll find millions of pages ready to offer a huge amount of information. Furthermore, we can instantly communicate with people who are far from us, maybe living in other city and country; phones and tables approach us to friends and family.

By contrast, we can also find some negative aspects in technology. If we don’t find a balance in the use of electronic gadgets we could become obsessed with them. And that’s a reality, we all have friend who spend the whole day watching the screen of their mobile phones (and maybe they don’t have any new or nobody is talking to them, but they feel the constant necessity of watching their phones) Maybe the technology approach us people who are far, but it can also dispels the people who are next to us.

In conclusion, although technology has ease our life in numerous ways, we can also say that if we don’t find a balance in the use of them, it can be harmful for us.

Opinion paragraph.

Pigeons are disgusting and annoying. The huge amount of pigeons is producing a wear in the front of our Cathedral, provoking a lost in our cultural background. Besides, they emit an awkward sound that bothered most of the population who mainly live in Santo Domingo square. For me, personally speaking, they are disgusting and irritating, and I have realized that day by day they flow lower and lower; the other day, one pigeon almost hit me in my face with their wing. All in all, I would like to see less pigeons in our city because I think they are making a bad impact in Murcia.
